¿What's on the menu?

The fortunate thing about living with a Spanish family while we are in Spain is that we get to try all traditional/typical Spanish cuisine. John is far more adventurous than I in chowing down these dishes but so far neither of us have been disappointed!

Here is a list of some of the dishes we have tried:
-Snails (surprisingly really good)
-blood sausage (ew.)
-white asparagus
-octopus
-frittered chopitos (still don't know what chopitos are, still don't want to, I like em and that's enough!)
-zucchini soup
-gaspacho
-some sort of hard salad leaf with blue cheese and smoked salmon in it
-potatoes bravas
-pastries
-paella
- and most importantly: churros with chocolate (YUMMM)

Some of these things are definitely not on your typical American (or even Irish) menu, but it has certainly been an adventure trying some truly Spanish dishes! Can't talk long we are having lunch soon and then going into the city but we will blog about Toledo and Segovia soon!
